If you've never visited our church, you may have some questions about different aspects of our facility and worship services.
Where Is It?
First Christian Church is located at the corner of East Fifth Street and Florence in Claremore, Oklahoma, a town ten miles Northeast of Tulsa.
Feel free to click, zoom, view the sattelite photo, and drag the map around. It's interactive.
If getting to Claremore via Will Rogers Turnpike (I44) take the Claremore exit 255. After exiting the toll plaza, turn left (East) on State Route 20 then right (North) on Florence.
When Is It?
Our congregation celebrates worship service once on Sunday at 9:30am.
What Is It Like?
Worship follows the ancient/modern form of Gathering, Word, Table, Sending.
Ours is a unified worship with elements of both our former contemporary and former traditional worship. Every Sunday the Praise Band (guitars, keyboard, drums, and microphoned vocalists) leads the congregation in singing praise songs that you would hear on Contemporary Christian radio stations and every Sunday the traditional church choir and choir director leads the congregation in singing hymns from the Chalice Hymnal accompanied by the organist.
What To Wear?
Come as you are, you are welcome in our church. We want you to be comfortable in worship. Most of our male congregants wear polo-style shirts and slacks. The majority of female congregants wear a blouse with slacks or a skirt.
Still Have Questions?
If you have any other questions, feel free to call the church and talk to a staff member. We want to welcome you and provide a welcoming, relaxed place to worship.
